- Choose the location of the charger.
- Confirm you have sufficient electrical service to support the charger.
- Confirm there is space in your electrical panel to accommodate a circuit breaker for the EV charger.
- Purchase your EV charger.
- Obtain any necessary permits.
- Contact an electrician to provide a quote.
- Have the chosen electrician perform the installation – the installation typically takes 2 hours or more, depending on the electrical wiring needs.
